Erik and Ali

This is my future brother-in-law Erik and my darling sister Ali.

They are So in love!! We are so excited to have Erik join our family in December. I believe he is perfect for my sister. It has been really fun to be able to get to know him. Last night we were able to see one of his talents. We went and watched a play he produced called the Foreigner. It was HILARIOUS! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a while. He did a really good job on it. If you ever get a chance, you should definatly see it! WELCOME TO THE CRAZY FAMILY ERIK, AND GOOD JOB ON YOUR PLAY!

Surprise!

This last weekend I wanted to Surprise Tyler and do something really nice for him. He has been studying for the LSAT and the GRE like crazy. Sometimes it is exhausting watching him study so much! He has been working so hard so I wanted to give him a little break!

So crazy enough.. I kidnapped him on saturday morning, packed his bags for him and took off for a weekend in cedar city. I think he was pretty surprised that I had thought I could pull something like this off! He was also a good sport during the long drive down and I think actually liked the surprise trip.

We had a really good time. We went and saw a play at the shakespearean festival, watched some good movies and had a nice break from the studies!!! My favorite part of the trip was the car rides because we were able to just talk and share our feelings with no outside distractions!!

Thanks Tyler for going along with my crazy ideas!!!

Also, we couldn't have gone on this little weekend getaway without the help of my parents. So I just wanted to give a shout out to them and tell them THANK YOU again and tell them how much I love them!!! They are the best parents that I could ever ask for!

Raising the Barn

Yesterday I had my first experience of
Barn Raising.
Does anyone know what
Barn raising is?
It's where friends or family
come together to construct
a barn.

It is very intricate and detailed work.
Something that
cannot be done alone.
Yesterday Tyler and I were able
to help his parents
finsih building their barn.
His parents
are such great people and
are
working
so hard to capture their
dreams.

We felt so grateful to
be invloved in their
Lives and in
their
vision of
the future.

our garden

Our Garden
This summer Tyler and I planted our first garden. It was a lot of work but well worth it! We are still eating our crops today! We planted corn, strawberries, green beans, zuccini, carrots, tomatoes and peppers. It was so fun to watch it grow.

This is our first strawberry we picked

Mr. Gardener

Our corn... Now it is 8 ft tall.. It's HUGE!

Golfing
I already wrote about our day golfing. Here are some pictures from that day! It was so much fun!

Our honeymoon

Our Honeymoon
I finally have a camera cord so I can finally blog again!! Here are some pictures from our honeymoon. It was SO much fun! We went to Mexico and stayed in an all inclusive resort. We played on the beach a lot, saw some ruins, went snorkeling and enjoyed being able to relax with no worries! It was wonderful. Tyler did get sick one day from the food which was no fun but he was better within 24 hours ( we never went to the restraunt again where he got sick)! It was an adventure that we will always remember.

This was just hanging out on the beach after we went catamaraning.

The resort was wonderful but the food was not so good except for at this Mexican restaurant. We ate here everyday for lunch and a couple of nights for dinner. I think we were the only couple who ate lunch at the restraunt but the food wasn't very good at any other lunch places!

This is our AWESOME tour guide Benjamin! He kept us laughing all day long with his jokes. He was also Mayan and knew alot about the Mayan ruins that we visited which made our tour very interesting. He made our trip extra fun.

We almost turned Mexican....

At the Italian restraunt for dinner. The restraunt was so pretty - it overlooked the beach and ocean.

So one day we went on a walk after dinner and found this in the bushes by our hotel. It was so crazy to find it in the middle of no where.

This still makes me laugh! We came back to our hotel room one day and the maids had left his on our bed with extra waterbottles. I guess they really liked us for some odd reason.

The Mayan Ruins

More ruins..

Tyler at the ruins- lookin' good!
