The Undaunted

Okay so I just finished reading the BEST book!! It is called Undaunted. I liked it so much that I finished it in about a week. It is a story of the hole in the rock pioneers. It was amazing to read what they went through and see the faith that they had. It also had a really cute love story in it which made it even better!!! So if anyone wants to borrow it let me know. It is just sitting on my shelf right now! I would recommend it to anyone!!!

This is my cute little brother Scott with my little niece grace.

Scott left on his mission today. It was a bitter sweet experience. I always find that it is very hard to say goodbye but on the other hand I am also so excited that they will be serving the lord. When you go down to the MTC now they don't make you go inside and watch that tear jerking movie but instead they make you drop the missionary off at the curb. It makes it a little bit easier to say goodbye!!! I am so proud of him to be going on a mission. I have never gone on one and I think it would take a lot of courage and faith to go. So even though you can't read this anymore, GOOD Job SCOTTIE!!
After we dropped him off and said our goodbyes, we went to my sisters apartment and hung out for a while and then went to the BYU creamery to get some ice cream. They have the BEST ice cream there!! It was a really special day being able to spend it with my family. It really made me so grateful to have such a wonderful family!!! We wish michael and Sara (MY brother and sis in law) could have been there but at least we got to spend a couple of weeks together over christmas!! So I just want to tell me family thanks so much for their friendship and love!! You guys are the best!!!

I read this quote on my friend/old neighboor Natalie Andrews blog and simply loved it!!!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." — Marjorie Pay Hinckley

I hope that this is how I can live my life. With a smudge here and there to remember that life is really about living and helping those along the way!!!

Our one year anniversary!!

We have been married for one year!!!! It is so hard to believe that it has already been a year. It seems like just yesterday we were married! It has been a wonderful year of marriage. We have grown a lot together, have had some hard times, but mostly some fun and exciting times!!!

For our one year anniversary we spent the day skiing at brighton. It was so much fun. It was a bright sunny day with fresh snow on the mountains. We topped the day off by going to Rumbi, our favorite restraunt. (The place we went on our first date.) The whole day was a blast!!!

My sister's wedding!

On December 29, 2009 my sister Ali got married in the Bountiful temple to Erik Gunn. It was such a special and memoriable day! I am so excited for them to be married and start their lives together!!! We were so glad we could be with them all day. Here is some pictures from their wedding.
