Families are forever

This past weekend my little brother Scott was able to go through the temple for his first time! It was SUCH a neat experience to see him in the temple. It was the first time that my entire family has been in the temple together!!

Tyler with me.

My parents. They were so excited that all their kids made it to the temple!! They are great parents and have taught us so much! WE owe them a lot!

I love this picture! My goofy brother michael and sister in law (outlaw!) Sara Jean. They are in love.

CHRISTMAS

Every year my family watches How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Cartoon Version), on christmas eve. It is a fun way for us to remember the true meaning of christmas.

The Grinch Says it best:

It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... He thought ...means a little bit more.

To me christmas means a time of giving, a time of love, a time of family and a time to remember and celebrate our saviors life. I hope that the feelings of christmas and the spirit of christ felt during this holiday season, can last past christmas day, and that we can make each day mean a little bit more.

I hope everyone has a wonderful christmas and happy holidays!!!!

Miracles

So this past week has been crazy. I got my wisdom teeth out on thursday and have not been able to do much. Tyler has been really busy with school/church/LSAT. He took his final LSAT test on saturday morning!! WAHOO FOR THE LSAT BEING OVER!!! Our brakes also went out in our car this weekend so we had to take it to the shop. So it has been pretty nuts around our household. Thankfully we have great parents who were willing to come down and take care of me all weekend and make us dinner. They were life savors.

Okay so this morning my teeth were hurting and I had cramps. Tyler just laughed and said that it couldn't get worse. Well then we went outside to go and pick up his car and to our surpise my car had a flat tire! We must of ran over a nail or something the night before. So poor tyler is trying to get my spare tyler out in the cold when our sweetest neighboor drove by and offered us a ride. It was like a blessing from Heaven!!! She drove us down to pick up Tylers car which was a life savor. We were able to pick up my medicine a lot sooner too so which was really nice. It was so nice of our neighboor to help us out! It was a big miracle for us! Now we are finally feeling that our lives are being put back together!! It is amazing what a little helping hand can do.

Wonderful Husband !!

Last week I was craving chocolate milk like crazy! I didn't buy any at the store because I was trying to stay in my shopping budget. I seriously was going crazy without it. So the next morning I woke up to the yummy smell of breakfast! Tyler had woken up early, gone to the store and bought me my chocolate milk!! And not only did he just buy the milk but he also got me some christmas flowers and made breakfast for me. He is such a sweetheart! It made my day! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful and thoughtful husband!!

Christmas Music

One of my favorite things about this time of year is Christmas music! I am one of those crazy people who love to listen to christmas music way before the month of december ever begins!! It is on the radio now which makes me SO happy!!! And tyler even lets me listen to it at home sometimes!! It just makes me feel so good!! I had to write about it because it is one of my favorite things!! So all of you out there, I hope you enjoy the sounds of christmas!!!

Tyler's new Call

This last week has been really exciting but very humbling at the same time. Tyler was called to be the 2nd counselor in our bishopbric. When we found out we were so surprised. It was a little overwhelming at first to find out but we are adjusting to it now and are getting really excited. It will be so fun for him to work with our bishop so closely. And we have a great ward so it will be so much fun to get to know everyone a little bit better and be more involved. The only sad part about it is that he won't be there in sacrament meeting to keep me warm. I guess that means that maybe i'll get a new winter coat! ha ha. Love ya ty ;) But we really are so excited for this call and can't wait to get to work and start serving!!

Happy Halloween!!

For Halloween every year my sister in law throws the best party! It is so fun to see what halloween surprise we are eating for dinner. And she always has some sort of fun game or mystery. She puts so much work into it and it is always a blast!! I stole them from our family blog.

This is most of the moss family who were at the party. Missing is Natalie and Trav.

During the party we bobbed for apples!! These are the winners!

This was eating our crazy dinner. We had witches spaghetti and fingernails, and spider cupcakes. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. Thanks for all your hard work Natalie and Kris!!

Erik and Ali

This is my future brother-in-law Erik and my darling sister Ali.

They are So in love!! We are so excited to have Erik join our family in December. I believe he is perfect for my sister. It has been really fun to be able to get to know him. Last night we were able to see one of his talents. We went and watched a play he produced called the Foreigner. It was HILARIOUS! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a while. He did a really good job on it. If you ever get a chance, you should definatly see it! WELCOME TO THE CRAZY FAMILY ERIK, AND GOOD JOB ON YOUR PLAY!

Surprise!

This last weekend I wanted to Surprise Tyler and do something really nice for him. He has been studying for the LSAT and the GRE like crazy. Sometimes it is exhausting watching him study so much! He has been working so hard so I wanted to give him a little break!

So crazy enough.. I kidnapped him on saturday morning, packed his bags for him and took off for a weekend in cedar city. I think he was pretty surprised that I had thought I could pull something like this off! He was also a good sport during the long drive down and I think actually liked the surprise trip.

We had a really good time. We went and saw a play at the shakespearean festival, watched some good movies and had a nice break from the studies!!! My favorite part of the trip was the car rides because we were able to just talk and share our feelings with no outside distractions!!

Thanks Tyler for going along with my crazy ideas!!!

Also, we couldn't have gone on this little weekend getaway without the help of my parents. So I just wanted to give a shout out to them and tell them THANK YOU again and tell them how much I love them!!! They are the best parents that I could ever ask for!

Raising the Barn

Yesterday I had my first experience of
Barn Raising.
Does anyone know what
Barn raising is?
It's where friends or family
come together to construct
a barn.

It is very intricate and detailed work.
Something that
cannot be done alone.
Yesterday Tyler and I were able
to help his parents
finsih building their barn.
His parents
are such great people and
are
working
so hard to capture their
dreams.

We felt so grateful to
be invloved in their
Lives and in
their
vision of
the future.

our garden

Our Garden
This summer Tyler and I planted our first garden. It was a lot of work but well worth it! We are still eating our crops today! We planted corn, strawberries, green beans, zuccini, carrots, tomatoes and peppers. It was so fun to watch it grow.

This is our first strawberry we picked

Mr. Gardener

Our corn... Now it is 8 ft tall.. It's HUGE!

Golfing
I already wrote about our day golfing. Here are some pictures from that day! It was so much fun!

Our honeymoon

Our Honeymoon
I finally have a camera cord so I can finally blog again!! Here are some pictures from our honeymoon. It was SO much fun! We went to Mexico and stayed in an all inclusive resort. We played on the beach a lot, saw some ruins, went snorkeling and enjoyed being able to relax with no worries! It was wonderful. Tyler did get sick one day from the food which was no fun but he was better within 24 hours ( we never went to the restraunt again where he got sick)! It was an adventure that we will always remember.

This was just hanging out on the beach after we went catamaraning.

The resort was wonderful but the food was not so good except for at this Mexican restaurant. We ate here everyday for lunch and a couple of nights for dinner. I think we were the only couple who ate lunch at the restraunt but the food wasn't very good at any other lunch places!

This is our AWESOME tour guide Benjamin! He kept us laughing all day long with his jokes. He was also Mayan and knew alot about the Mayan ruins that we visited which made our tour very interesting. He made our trip extra fun.

We almost turned Mexican....

At the Italian restraunt for dinner. The restraunt was so pretty - it overlooked the beach and ocean.

So one day we went on a walk after dinner and found this in the bushes by our hotel. It was so crazy to find it in the middle of no where.

This still makes me laugh! We came back to our hotel room one day and the maids had left his on our bed with extra waterbottles. I guess they really liked us for some odd reason.

The Mayan Ruins

More ruins..

Tyler at the ruins- lookin' good!

Camera Cords!

I can't find my camera cord to put my pictures on the computer.. But don't worry if I don't find it soon we might buy a new one! So I will put my golfing pictures up soon as well as our garden pictures!

Golfing

This past week Tyler took me golfing for my first time!! I was so excited to go. He wanted me to have the "full golf experience" so we ate lunch at the golf house first. The food was SOOO good. We played at a place off of foothill but I don't remember the name of it. We had such a blast that day golfing! It was a blast driving around in the golf cart and playing. Tyler did so good! He got two birdies that day!! It was so fun to go on a date together and do something active together. I am now a big fan of golf! In fact I liked it so much that we went again later that week with my little bro and his girlfriend at eaglewood.

Our experience at eaglewood was a little different than my first time golfing. We didn't start golfing until about 7:00 that night so it was already getting a little dark and a little cold. Then to our surprise the sprinklers turned on right where we were golfing! The whole night we were trying to dodge the sprinklers while we golfed. One time my little brother was about to swing and right as he lifted his club a sprinkle turned on and shot right at him. It was so funny watching him jump so fast!! Tyler did great again and got another birdie! We played best ball and I was on his team so I guess you could say I got my first biride too! Thanks Ty!! We had a blast golfing together! Thanks SCOTT AND SARA for being such great sports and golfing with us!! We love you guys!!

Summer

Summer is finally here!! With the arrival of summer our family has experienced many changes and fun memories..

1. Tyler is studying the LSAT. He is planning on taking the test in September and is going to Law school next fall!! CRAZy! We are very excited and a little nervous to see where we will be going. We won't find out until next year but it is fun to think about. Tyler is studying so hard every week. The test is really hard and I have been very impressed with all the time and energy he has put in it so far so that he can do well! I am lucky to have a husband who works so hard at all he does. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TYLER BABE!

2. We planted a garden. It is not very big but just the right size for us. We planted Corn, Tomatoes, green beans, carrots, strawberries and peppers. Our strawberries are already coming in- A couple more weeks and they will be ready to eat! Our favorite thing to watch grow is our corn- It grows so Fast! The whole garden thing has been a blast!

3. Another fun hobby that we have taken up is rollerblading. Luckily Tyler had 2 pairs of rollerblades and one fit me just perfect! Instead of going on long walks on the beach, we go on long rollerblade rides under the stars! Tyler is a very talented rollerblader and always does tricks and turns (which worries me sometimes because he is so accident prone). But it is a fun activity that we have really enjoyed.

4. Finally- Tyler just got called to be in the Elder Quarum Presidency! He is the second counsilor. He is excited to be able to serve in the presidency. I also got a new calling. I am the Womens Sport Director!! I am very excited about this! WE are loving our ward and are awesome neighbors!

Wedding Reception

Our reception was a blast! Here are some fun photos from it. Some of the pictures got cut off- I couldn't figure out how to make them centered but if you click on them it should take you to a page where you can see them all!

CAKE FIGHT!

Throughout our whole wedding day Tyler kept teasing me that he was going to get cake all over me during our reception and to WATCH OUT! Little did he know what was in store for him. We got CAKE EVERYWHERE!! I am sure alot of people were shocked to watch us!! We had a lot of fun and laugh when we think of this experience.
